The Silent Room Casting Auditions Friday, July 13 6:00pm at Civic Media Center.
The Gainesville Branch of the Industrial Workers of the World is putting together a production of The Silent Room: A Workers’ Musical. The play centers around the workers at Ahab’s Coffee who are growing tired of their bosses exploiting them.
There are twenty roles so invite your friends. All experience levels are welcomed.

Summer Camps at the Florida Museum Friday, July 13 8:00am to 4:30pm at Florida Museum of Natural History.
Dive into the sciences this summer and investigate natural history through activities and hands-on exploration. Examine fossils, discover ancient cultures and meet some of the most interesting members of the animal kingdom. Camps are designed for students enrolled in grades 1-6.

10th Gainesville Jazz Festival Saturday, July 14 7:00pm to 10:30pm at Town of Tioga Community Center, Newberry.
The 10th Annual Gainesville Jazz Festival moves outdoors for the first time at The Town of Tioga Town Square. The free concert features three of Gainesville’s top Jazz Bands including Mercury’s Refrain, The Marty Liquori jazztet and The Scott Wilson Quartet.Music starts at 7 . An after hours jam will be held at 10:30 -12:30 at Sabore Restaurant.

Auditions for Arthur Miller’s All My Sons Sunday, July 15 7:00pm at Vam York Theater.
Arthur Miller’s play is a portrait of a society as well as of a flawed individual. Joe Keller is a thriving businessman who reveres the twin American gods: family and profit. That, ultimately, is his justification for his wartime action of allowing defective parts to be fitted to air force planes, and letting his former partner take the rap.

Sunday Local Market July 15 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Citizens CO-op, Gainesville.
