Specticast: Giuseppe Verdi’s Attila

Filmed at the famed Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, the Kirov Opera performance features Grammy-winning Russian bass Ildar Abdrazakov in the title role. This forceful and evocative production breathes operatic life into the fearsome conqueror. Inspired by the Werner play, Verdi wove a musical tapestry of revenge, courage and freedom, set against the decaying glory of ancient Rome. Celebrated conductor Valery Gergiev brings forth a richly realized performance from the outstanding ensemble.

As always enjoy!!
