Youngsters, with an adult, can join a Morningside Nature Center animal caretaker for an exciting and educational program featuring live amphibians and reptiles. This free program begins at 2 p.m. in the Education Building. Free parking available in the paved parking lot.

The play was inspired by the story of Rodney Wilson, who in 1994, told his high school history class studying World War II, that he was gay. Wilson noted that if he’d been in Germany during World War II, he’d have been forced to wear a pink triangle and would have been gassed to death.” Pretty dark but a great play!

The guild is celebrating its 20th anniversary by featuring past winners’ and historic quilts from years gone by.There will be several vendors and a quiltique bazaar including a large variety of handmade items. This year, visitors may purchase raffle tickets for chances to win a beautiful bed-size quilt or one of the terrific gift baskets that have been generously donated by local businesses. Teddy Pruett, certified quilt appraiser, will also be there.
