The Slow Murmur of Learning: Honoring Substance and Solitude in

Education Wednesday, Feb 19 5:30pm Hippodrome Theatre

A teacher of literature and philosophy from the Columbia Secondary School is giving a free presentation. Diana Senechal is a premier author on public education; exploring how our schools’ current emphasis on quick results and testing has left students with little room for absorbing complex material or taking risks. To address this problem, Senechal suggests that schools should honor aspects of education that require solitude and quiet reflection. Wow sounds interesting!!

As  always enjoy!
